Rodney L. Cook, CPA

Rodney graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1984 with a Bachelor's Degree majoring in accounting. Having passed the CPA exam, he obtained his CPA designation in 1986 after he had his 2 years of practice experience completed. He worked with a regional accounting firm for several years located in the Cleveland area following graduation prior to settling back into Bellevue where he was employed by a local CPA. In 1992 he left and opened his own practice. Rodney focuses on preparing business, individual, estate and trust tax returns. He resides in Bellevue with his wife Monica.

Steven D. Smith, CPA

Steve graduated from Tiffin University in 1985 with a Bachelor's Degree majoring in accounting. After graduation, he worked for two area public accounting firms and a private company. In October 1993, he obtained his CPA designation and joined with Rodney in 1994 to create Cook, Smith & Company. Like Rodney, Steve focuses on preparing business, individual, estate and trust tax returns. He resides in Bellevue with his wife Stephanie and his son Konnor.

Jackie Heath

Jackie graduated from Bellevue Senior High School and immediately started her career with The Union Bank in Bellevue working in the bookkeeping department. After 16 years, she went on to work with a few other local companies doing their daily accounting. In 2005 she joined Cook, Smith & Company. She prepares financial statements, sales tax, and payroll taxes. She also does bookkeeping and processes payroll.

Jackie and her husband Dave married in 1985 and have 2 children, Brooke and Josh. Jackie has been blessed with her granddaughter Adelynn and grandson Asher who she adores. She lives in Bellevue and enjoys her free time with family and friends.

Bonnie Nottke

Bonnie began working for Cook, Smith & Company in 1995 while attending Tiffin University. She graduated in 1996 with an Associates Degree in accounting. She prepares financial statements, sales tax, and payroll taxes. She also does bookkeeping and processes payroll.

Bonnie married her high school sweetheart Ryan in 1998 and they have one son, Hunter. She lives in Bellevue and enjoys spending time with her family.

Lorie Patten

Lorie began working for W. Val Schmidt, CPA in 1988 after attending Terra Community College. She graduated in 1986 with an Associates Degree in Accounting. She began working for Cook, Smith & Company when the practice of W. Val Schmidt was purchased. She prepares financial statements, sales tax, and payroll taxes. She also does bookkeeping and processes payroll.

Lorie lives in Bellevue and enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Susan Keith

Susan is a tax professional with more than 25 years experience specializing in individual, small business and farm returns. She meets all requirements and is issued yearly Certification by the IRS to obtain her status on the Directory of Federal Tax Return Preparers.

Daniel L. Willey, EA, MBA

Dan graduated from Tiffin University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science majoring in accounting. He went back to Tiffin University and graduated in 2010 with a Master’s in Business Administration. He also has an Associates degree in Human Resources from Ohio Business College. Dan has worked for a few public accounting firms and a couple private companies. In 2022, he passed the enrolled agent exam with the IRS. In February 2022, Dan joined Cook, Smith & Company and focuses on preparing business, individual, estate and trust tax returns. He resides in Fremont with his father Gary and black lab - Coal.
